‘sisieda’ by studio lievito
florence-based practice studio lievito has developed ‘sisieda’, a concrete stool and base. the design explores the surprise and
contrast created by the sitter’s expectations for the flexible-looking cushion and the hard material out of which it is actually
constructed. the method by which the chairs are made combines elements of this exploration by using a pillow-case as the mould
for the concrete, which is attached to a classic wooden frame.
