designer szuwei wu has developed ‘welding’ a collection of fused bowls. through the simple styles and materials the beauty of lines are reinterpreted to showcase the stitch marks of the process. using iron as the main medium the action of paper folding is expressed as the feature detail. the dark, rough and irregular crease is realized through the heating and merging technique, where the gradient colors spread outwards from the center exhibiting distinct lines after the burning.
