madrid artist, eduardo zamarro is a specialist in large scale artworks. he has completed the world’s biggest stop-motion entirely made with post-it notes® for the presentation of the II international congress of happiness ‘wall of happiness’. over 1,000,000 tabs were used for the mural, all of them PEFC certified. a total of 20 people, counting professionals and students of fine arts and architecture at the universidad francisco de vitoria in madrid, were involved in the creation of the installation. the team developed 135 pieces of artwork in just 15 days, with five days of pre-production and ten for production.

the ‘wall of happiness’ is an 8 x 10m with 27,000 notes on each mural, which consists of a picture per frame. the notes are custom made, totaling 560,000 which have been recycled for filing beanbags. prior to the implementation of the wall art, post-its® were collected with messages of happiness in all major cities of spain like zaragoza, barcelona and valencia which was part of the animation. during the action, locals were also invited to record memos of meaning.
