barcelona-based designer tom allen has conceived ‘dama’, a table-lamp for spanish eco-design company lucirmás. made from upcycled, recyclable and sustainably certified materials, the lighting-object is created using 5 litre glass vessels commonly used for storing wine or oil in italy, users can easily remove the glass ‘lampshade’ with the original handle, making cleaning an easy process. alongside a hand-made PEFC certified beech timber base and low energy plumen lightbulb, the project encourages sustainably practiced design.
