‘tropical chair’ by jens boldt

designer jens boldt, has developed a plywood chair utilizing patterns in the surface, where different-colored layers of wood become visible. made out of dyed maple veneer, then treated by the german company reholz to become a 3D  section, the chair is then transformed into a double-curved shape. influenced by tropical plants, the project represents an escape into a tropical environment, placed in the context of a sun-lit landscape.
