KEEN 'slice' by mathias bengtsson the chair form is modelled on a computer then sliced into layers by the software. 'slice' takes two-dimensional mateial and, instead of forming it by pressing or bending to make a three dimensional form, it uses a stack of flat cut sheets in much the same way as a raster scan of a TV screen is used to create the moving image.
