'magazine' sofa by michael young, 1995 why bring the magazine back into production we deliberated during discussions with michael? it’s iconic status is not a sufficiently strong singular reason, though tied to a small but constant demand from museums, architects and individuals around the world, it’s re-release satisfies a known market. the soon to be available magazine has inspired those aware of this new production and the design has been selected by the cooper-hewitt national design museum in new york as a key element in their major exhibition: 'skin: surface and structure in contemporary design,' starting in july 2002.
