100% tiles exhibition
at 100% design show 2004 designboom exhibited the shortlisted entries of an international design competition
under the theme of ‘100% TILES’ . it was all about decoration and contemplation.
artistic minds were among the jury members: barnaba fornasetti, humberto and fernando campana,
kazuhiro yamanaka...

radu comsa
radu comsa from romania, is the winner of the 100% folding chair competition,
which was organised by 100% design and designboom in 2003.
as first prize he has won a free booth at this year’s 100% design show.
radu presented a collection of two lighting objects, specially created for this event.

‘seaflowers’ and the organic folding concept -
the thermostatic bimetal strips shade bend under
the heat of an incandescent bulb.

‘boa’ - the changing shape of this aluminium lamp
allows many many different combinations.

there is a ‘top light’ for the ambient and a ‘mid level light’
for the accent lighting.
