100 % design bus tours - london, 26 -29 sept. 2002 - during london's 100 % design show a series of bus tours run around the city with some of the uk's most experienced and entertaining TV design and architecture experts playing the role of tour guide. london's inspiring architectural scene through the eyes of naomi cleaver, wayne hemingway, trevor baylis, alex de rijke, charlie luxton, shuan clarkson... a nice idea of channel 4 TV in collaboration with jam. the tours in a traditional double-decker bus offered a good overview of the city's most famous landmarks and attractions but also some hidden gems you probably won't have heard of - a rare glimpse into some of the usually off-limits parts of london. each tour was lasting up ca. 2 hours and offered 3 set down points. designboom was sooo busy in london and could go sightseeing only with wayne hemingway and naomi cleaver. it was fun. --- wayne hemingway he took the participants on a tour reflecting good examples of the use of central london's land for affordable housing - very impressive. --- naomi cleaver took her guests around people's houses on a tour of privately commissioned houses - some good, some not so good. --- ------- monthly designboom newsletter ------- ------- ? comments and contact us ? -------	bus tour tickets for 10 £. these tours were also very popular with the locals problems with the bus engine... late departure. unfortunately we had another appointment and couldn't join the first tour. the tour-double-decker bus at the 100% design show
