'tela' system by enzo mari |

|
-
the starting point for the 'tela' system is a ring which grips of a fabric, a material that allows air to circulate and creates the appropriate
safety distances from the light source. from this nucleus, a system of industrial products has come about in which the components
are interchangeable. in the design development, 15 hypotheses were formulated: reflection and experimentation have reduced the
system to the nine current lamps, each different from the other. all also benefit from of major research into fabrics.
these are now two types: elastic mesh or a broader warp and weft, the latter richer than the former. |

different samples of 'tela' fabrics |
the exhibition 'enzo mari, light and fabric', held in the artemide showroom in milan presented the new
'tela system', which was shown not only as products but also through a number of sketches.
exhibited with 'tela' are 'aggregato' (in the early '70s, the 'aggregato' system was created, which has
been in production for thirty years. the hypothesis behind this project was to create components for
anyone to be able to build the lamp they need for themselves.) and, in various applications, 'alfiere'
(last year's newcomer, a multi-purpose lamp, created to illuminate shop windows)
