'new stories - new design' - documenting hidden potentials through research and narrative. the exhibition wantsed to show potentials rather than definitive solutions. the show is the result of the work of the students who participated in a series of seminars conducted over the last three years by aldo cibic at the department of design of the milan polytechnic and at domus academy. designboom enjoyed two stories : --- bike-aid doctor on wheels by akiko horie, keiko oyabu, laura wexler, paula andrea calleja this project identifies a niche in which to develop a first aid service based on direct, informal contact with the user. a team of capable of reaching people rapidly to provide treatment in case of minor accidents, or to provide medicine. the medical messengers use a hyper equipped bicycle to avoid problems of rush hours... and --- 'street cuisine' a world food court by frederic gooris, kotaru kanai, pelin fikriye kurtul in an increasingly multiethnic society food can be an important vehicle for encounters between different cultural identities. the project proposes a sort of mobile kitchen, that permits those who so desire to spread the flavours of their native land... turning their culinary know-how into a 'profession'.	aldo cibic © designboom --- stills from 'new stories...'
