dan friedmann and alessandro mendini 'we talked about titanium' is a collection produced by design gallery milano. each of the five objects is signed and numbered in a limited of twelve. mendini says 'between 1987 and 1992 dan and I exchanged letters and drawings, because we had decided to put our four hands togetherto make some furniture and few objects... then the project was dramatically interrupted. not only to pay hommage to a friend no longer with us, but because we had been trying to express things new both for him and me; things which I now find topical. we talked about titanium and elementary volumes, lines in gilded bronze, thin sheets of marble, and polychrome spheres on tilted planes. and also about pictograms, water, silence, pantheism and geometries. http://www.designgallerymilano.com video dan friedman dan friedman book by dan friedman--radical modernism et al (paperback - december 1997) a view on the objects
