who is latebloom inc ? --------------------------- hello Design Boom, Thought I could shed a bit of light on these latebloomers!! It is a group of young designers who have started up a group that is simular to Design Raw in the states. I think that they are dutch but I am not sure. They had a great "underground" show in a hotel room in milan during the Mobili, with about sixty people floating in and out. I was handed a ticket to enter this show while I was at the cappellini opening, I thought it was a joke but turned out to be very cool, they did not have a "DJ" but had an acoustic band of two guitar players, quitely cool. Jewelry made from flesh, all star furniture (famous chairs that where re-done or assembled in odd ways) quite interesting and other great furniture (kinda do create-ish). I could not figure out who the hosts where but talked to one guy who had rented the room, and he seemed like a good guy with a lot to talk about, he also gave me some a Lateblom "join the design army" t shirt. When I left I thought it was apart of the fair but it must have been a fringe thing, because no one else I talked to had gone. I have read about them mentioned on a few sites now and they have been mentioned in a few places (like in a lecture by Rem Koolhaus in holland). let me know if you have a website or any contact info for them, I loved the "fuck off" stickers as well, they where everywhere during the mobili and it is about time that a group got rowdy and wanted to kick some life into this design scene.
