cuba: anonymous popular creations

collecting, repairing and recovering in cuba
in cuba, we don't 'speak' about recycling. this topic has just started appearing in tv programmes on the environment.
but we've been pursuing a 'domestic recycling' policy for years and this is very good for the environment.
'poetic output' has been on the scene since the revolution began, because of the precarious nature of the material universe'
ernesto oroza suarez, designer, born in havana.

'the healthiest of these habits is recycling the 'spirit' - the 'soul' of the objects.
cultural recycling which upends the significance of the town and revalidates affective relationships with products.
of course the populist cuban phenomenon cannot be seen as an alternative, since poverty is not an alternative.'

the objects are, by their nature, temporary. expecting to be replaced at any moment by the 'real' object.
