| tokyo designers week 2003 --- designer's week table exhibition exhibition in akasaka: works from 120 invited designers and 24 contest entries. japanese have a very long history of using tables, for reading, writing, and eating. for many years tables have been used to make offerings to the gods. tables are very functional but simple pieces of furniture. simple objects, but this makes it more difficult to create new forms.
