‘found objects’ - saucier +perrotte architectes

saucier + perrotte architectes presents four large
three dimensional objects for contemplation.

matt-black, minimal, metallic and irregular, from the forms
themselves it is not immediately evident that these sculptures
are in fact architectural models.

the horizon-hugging building/forms are complex, teeming
with edges and small negative spaces. however although
overwhelmingly angular, at this scale they seem to suggest
movement - that they might suddenly break their stillness
- in a way akin to a crab or starfish.

also interesting to contemplate is how people would move
through the spaces within the building/forms. different systems
could lend a totally different understanding of these spaces.
from outside and within.

'morph' the theme of this year's biennale has thus been
acknowledged here by architects for whom this theme is.
implicit.
