ayrton senna’s 1989 MP4/5 honda makes noise at suzuka

using telemetry driving data set by former triple world champion ayrton senna from his record lap during qualifying at the 1989 F1 japanese grand prix, honda brings back the raw engine sounds of the naturally aspirated 3.5 liter V10 honda-mclaren MP4/5 – only without physically having the race car on the track – on the suzuka circuit with a visual and sound installation. developed by honda’s internavi navigation system team, the set-up uses LED light fixtures and thousands of speakers, recreating the entire 1 min 38.041 second lap.
