the ‘magne’ by danish company bergmann audio is a fully airbearing turntable and lineair tracking airbearing tonearm. the platter, centered by a steel spindle, floats on a film of air. simple to adjust and operate, the air supply is equipped with dust filters and reservoirs to obtain dry, clean airflow. further more, the air system is noiselss, so that it can be placed in the listening room. made of high denisty composite material, the aluminum platter and polycarbonate mat is belt driven using a DC motor. the whole ‘magne’ system weighs 18.5 kilograms and employs high quality copper litz and gold plated copper clips.
