air quality for some is such a underrated resource, but for others who are fighting allergies or eczema for example, air can be the factor between having a good day or a bad one. the awair from bitfinder analyzes the indoor air quality in real time, where it learns routines and communicates with other home devices to help achieve optimal air quality in the home or office. the awair began as a basic multiple sensor board just for tracking humidity and temperature. realizing it needs more information to accurately help others, designers and engineers used a cutting edge calibration chamber to developed sensors immeasurably better then what the original product possessed.

now bitfinder managed to design sensors that can survey carbon dioxide, fine dust particles and volatile organic compounds in the air. an algorithm aggregates the readings in a proprietary manner, then consolidates them into a score so that the user can understand the overall quality of the air they are breathing. the software provides distinctive recommendations via a companion app that illustrates the data using infographics and digital cards. from there it can prompt other smart home devices to help minimize common health conditions. for example, if the air is too dry, a connected humidifier can then be activated to add moisture in the room to stop nose bleeds or skin irritation. the bitfinder ‘awair’ is available to pre order for $149 USD and will ship in the fall 2015.
