this is a rusted-out BMW ‘i8’ that metrowrapz customized for music artist, austin mahone. it’s carries an oxidized-styled finish, creating a magnificent juxtaposition between the vehicle’s contemporary form and the aged appearance; and the ‘clash’ between old and modern materials. the unusual combination looks like it could be found roaming around a post-apocalyptic landscape, picking up survivors; rations; before making a quick getaway.

it’s sat upon a set of gold vossen rims, complementing the golden hues within the unconventional finish. a closer inspection of metrowrapz’s facebook page has another ‘rust bucket’ styled-wrap, showcasing the quality of the graphic installation company’s work. the florida-based garage is  dedicated to quality and customizing vehicles to fit big personalities. automobiles can be completely re-skinned with custom graphics and textures like carbon-fiber; brushed steel; and matte finishes.

aside from aesthetic value, the only other fathomable reason we can see for rusting a BMW ‘i8’ is because it won’t rust in real life.
