presented ahead of the north american internation auto show in detroit, BMW has unveiled the M4, a successor to the fourth-generation M3 coupe, which originally debuted in 2007. paired with a six-cylinder twin turbocharged in-line engine that produces 431 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox, the two-door sports car launches from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds. low-slung and precisely crafted, the coupe boasts large air intakes and air curtains at its front end, exposing the carbon-fiber reinforced plastic and aluminum body components that enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamics. a contoured roof line with central channel continues into the rear boot, emphasizing the sophisticated personality of the newly designed M4.

at the rear the tailgate, M4 coupe features an integrated rear spoiler and is constructed from a lightweight carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic. inside the cockpit, drivers will be greeted by interior architecture similar to the 4 series, complete with ergonomic bucket seats and an elegant layout that clearly focuses on the driver experience.
