at the paris air show 2017, kicked off today by french president emmanuel macron flying into the venue, boeing has launched their brand new 737 max 10 airplane. with the capacity to carry 230 passengers, the newest member of the 737 MAX family will has the lowest seat-mile cost of any single-aisle airplane ever produced. the new model increases fuel efficiency and extends the 737 MAX’s range capability by 200 nautical miles, whilst quality and reliability remain high priorities.

design changes for the boeing 737 MAX 10 include a fuselage stretch of 66 inches, in comparison to its sibling, the 737 AIR MAX 9. the newer model also boasts a lighter flat aft pressure bulkhead, and modifies the wing design for optimized low-speed drag reduction. boeing claim that the new winglet is the most efficient ever designed for a production plane, with advanced manufacturing techniques allowing for a natural laminar flow.

the plane may make for economical flying, yet the interiors of the new MAX 10 do not bear the hallmarks of budget travel. the plane boasts an innovative boeing sky interior, utilizing modern sculpted sidewalls, customizable LED lighting, large flight deck displays, and other improvements to both form and function. the new craft also incorporates boeing’s latest technology, using a CFM international LEAP-1B engine, which boasts carbon fiber fan blades with a titanium leading edge. the modifications are set to guarantee reductions in noise, carbon and NOx emissions.
