to mark the 500th anniversary celebrations of one of the world’s greatest painters hieronymus bosch, burell durant hifle (BDH) created a free special virtual reality application to discover a selection of the artist’s paintings. ‘bosch VR’ enables users to visit the ‘garden of eden’, be tempted by strange fruit and even stranger rituals in the ‘garden of earthly delights.’ available for both iOS and android phones, the VR experience lets you focus on every little detail, and analyze dense painting through a different perspective.
‘we are impressed by the authenticity of the experience and we are pleased to promote bosch VR as part of our 500th celebrations of hieronymus bosch in 2016,’ explains lian duff, director of the 2016 bosch500 festival. ‘this breathtaking app will enable bosch fans all over the world as well as Bosch’s home city of ‘s-hertogenbosch to enjoy his iconic painting.’ together with the app, BDH also built a special edition ‘bosch VR google cardboard viewer’ available specifically for the project.
