due to be unveiled this year, the ‘elextra’ is an electric supercar that combines italian-styling with swiss-precision, while accelerating from 0 – 62 mph in a blistering 2.3 seconds – that’s quicker than the tesla’s of this world. according to the manufacturer it will be designed in switzerland, hand-built in stuttgart-germany, and strictly limited to just 100 units.

the ‘elextra’s‘ carbon-fiber body is reminisicent of italian prestige cars, with a lamborghini-esque silhouette and rear, while its front nose design has shades of honda’s most recent ‘NSX‘. albeit a very sporting design, the company has created it to be more than just an electric racer, but have also considered how it will make its interior family-friendly. it features a signature V along the roofline, flowing out towards the rear spoiler edges, while covering the rear quarter over the rear wheels.

the electric supercar will be powered by twin-electric motors that deliver 680 horsepower (507 kW), and hit top speed at 155 mph (250 km/h). elextra’s designers say that at a speed of 62 mph (100 km/h), and it has a total electric range of up to 374 miles (600 km). it features a dual motor electric drivetrain, which delivers enhanced control over conventional four-wheel drive systems. the torque is electronically and independently distributed to the front and rear wheels. according to the swiss-manufacturer the ‘elextra’ will accelerate from 0 – 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.3 seconds, which is slightly quicker than the tesla ‘model S P100D’.

  • Yawn!! Wake me up when it sells/makes more than 100 units

    Tesla killer – click bait…

  • Clearly looks better from the second floor than ground level.

  • not very tall – more than likely will usually be seen from a higher vantage point

  • 0 to 60 In 2.3 seconds on these roads lol good luck with that. Total waste of money and like most sports cars a waste of money when people are starving in the world. Just another way for the rich to show how selfish they really are. Sad world.

    PAUL HOLMES says:
  • Aha…wants to rival Tesla but is only planned for 100 units. I reccon some people did not understand what Tesla did.
Besides that: cool design, but with that useless wing on the back (wrong direction) no way to be legal on public roads.
