bike design. fourth year industrial designer at atlanta’s georgia tech university elvin chu, researched and produced an hassle-free commuting solution called the ‘shibusa’. by offering the benefit of a capable electric-asssted bicycle, it maintains the spirit of a human-powered bike when the necessary components are swapped out. modular components that are both upgradeable and interchangeable means that personal appeal far surpasses that of current bicycles on the market. SRAM sponsored the project by elvin chu to research for nine weeks a solution that yields a platform that offers the flexibility during long commutes for urban riders in major cities.
