everything in the ‘hitch theater‘ kit packs down into a bag about the size of a larger foldable camping chair, which is small enough to store into the trunk of a car (four feet-l x 13 inches-w x 6 inches-h). spanning across 122 inches diagonally, the screen is large, and the rooftop stands at just over a foot tall. it can also be set up with a freestanding mount with an adjustable-height projector stand that can extend between 3.5 and 10 feet.

joe livingston first had the idea during a date gazing beneath the stars. he took his partner several miles out of his town one night and they decided to watch a movie on his laptop. from that moment he wondered why he couldn’t bring a television to do it, and then he realized — a portable drive-in theater can make the experience even more romantic.

‘hitch theater’ is currently reaching out for funding via its kickstarter campaign, which can be viewed in detail here.
