at photokina 2014, leica AG celebrated the 60th anniversary of its legendary M rangefinder system with a commemorative limited edition: the ‘leica M edition 60’. reduced to only the essential features, the AUDI-designed device is the first digital camera to concentrate exclusively on the primary functions required for digital photography – shutter speed, aperture, focusing ISO sensitivity and replaces the camera’s display with an ISO selector dial. like the leica M3 from 1954, the latest release pays homage to the essence of photography and carries it back to its origins.
