marvel 41 boat by marvel + nikos manafis is a one-off armored passenger carrier

unveiled as a collaboration between marvel and nikos.manafis design, the ‘marvel 41’ armored vessel was originally created to serve as a security boat for larger yachts. nikos manafis is no stranger to vehicles with futuristic forms, as illustrated previously in his ‘RDracer’ custom motorcycle. the passenger version of the boat features a closed-deck with a luxurious interior that offers accommodation for 10 to 18 people, a weather-protected deck, and a sunbathing area on the roof.

marvel + nikos manafis design’s ‘marvel 41C’ is the second boat the marvel ribs’ line to adopt the company’s new design language. this was created by the studio to fit the company’s manufacturing methods while combining the aggressive character of the hulls with highly-refined details expected by the company’s clientele. for expressing aggression, the design makes use of flat polygonal surfaces that synthesize a brutal-almost-military minimalism. a small selection of first degree curvatures are used to blend the highlights and reflections between the flat surfaces. these compliment marvel ribs’ traditional manufacturing methods of hand-building wooden prototypes, and overviewing every detail before creating moulds for production. 

the armored boat is tailored to escort larger yachts through mediterranean sea waters. it weighs approximately 6300 kg without engines and boasts a 900 l fuel capacity. it comes with three different engine choices, and marvel recommends a double 425 hp 6.7 cummins engine layout, or an outboard powertrain with two 350 hp mercury ‘verados’ engines. featuring sharp corners and details, the ‘marvel 41’ certainly looks like a vessel fit for a super villain.
