after originally introducing the concept at the 2012 paris auto show, mclaren automotive has officially announced the information relating to the production version of the mclaren P1, which will make its official debut at the 2013 geneva motor show. producing over 900 horsepower with its mid-mounted 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, its ‘instant power assist system (IPAS) will launch the plug-in hybrid from 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) in under three seconds, and 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in under 7 seconds before maxing out at 350 km(h (214 mph). using formula 1-derived DRS technology, the performance sports car can also be driven solely in electric mode with an active range of almost 20 kilometers.
