nokia’s ‘shoot and tag’ app, currently in beta, allows dvd-style ‘chapters’ to be automatically or manually added to video recording

the ‘nokia shoot and tag‘ video application by nokia beta labs uses tagging technology to automatically create scene markers during video recording, which can be used during playback to jump to different parts of the recording.

the program automatically recognizes a change in setting and creates with each change a new ‘chapter’ that appears along the side of the screen. a button allows users to also manually tag scenes at any moment. during playback, the saved scenes provide easy access to different parts of the video, akin to chapter selection on a dvd.

currently in beta, ‘shoot and tag’ is available for download to users of symbian^3 and s60 5th edition smartphones.
