dutch company ortega submersibles has created a revolutionary way of underwater travel by using highly advanced naval technology. its most recent submersible vehicle is the ‘mk. 1C’, a three-seater fully-submersible boat that can carry people both above and under water. powered by two high-power, electric motors and constructed for both over and under water activity, it comes fully equipped with a trimming tank; on-board breathing apparatus; and HUD navigation system.
max speed over water: 16.7 kmh
max speed under water: 20.4 kmh
each ortega ‘mk.1C’ can also have magnetometers; sonar; forward looking infrared (FLIR) cameras; extra air supply, or an extended cargo hold of up to 250 liters to enhance your underwater adventure. all on-board equipment supports dive depths of up to 95 meters / 310 feet for deep water discovery.
battery range: 148 km
the ‘mk.1C’s’ integrated battery management system keeps all cell’s in optimal health, enabling a safer and longer lasting battery that can handle 1000+ charges / discharges. the BMS can also balance the entire cell to guarantee optimal power is delivered at any state of charge.
two silent electric motors
at only 32 kg per battery pack, the cells are air transportable, guaranteeing a quick submersible deployment and delivery. the large battery pack can provide the boat with ROV-like sensor capabilities. there is room and power enough to implement many different kinds of positioning and acoustic sensors.
