porsche has unveiled the open-top versions of the 911 turbo and 911 turbo S, which are expected to make their debut at the los angeles auto show. the cabriolet variations feature a turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six which delivers 520 horsepower in the 911, and 560 in the 911 S. reaching top speeds of up to 318 km/h, the cars can launch from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 and 3.2 seconds respectively with the help of a PDK dual-clutch transmission and PTM all-wheel drive. for the exterior, the widely flared rear wings of the new 911 turbo cabriolet generation are 28 mm wider than those of the 911 carrera 4 models, further accentuating the width when the top is down. the bow top is built with a lightweight magnesium frame, which enables a coupé-like arch when the roof is closed; opening and closing in around 13 seconds, at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

the interior cockpit features black/carrera red and adaptive sport seat plus seats with 18-way adjustment and memory for added comfort. for those who enjoy speed, a radar-controlled adaptive cruise control system is also available, with camera-based road signs and speed limit recognition functions as other options.
