all wheel drive (AWD) is coming to the motorcycle world. on a normal bike the front wheel bogs down or locks up under hard turning. the rev’it ‘#95’ is a custom bike, which is based on the KTM ‘950 super enduro’, that can drive up hills, through ditches and doesn’t want to sweep out under cornering forces. the dutch company installed christini’s AWD arrangement that uses sets of gears and drive shafts that are mounted through the frame, triple clamps and forks. the configuration drains less than a tenth of one horsepower from the engine as it works.

the ‘#95’ includes an extra lever on the handlebars that activates the AWD system. when on, it allows the front to freewheel until the rear wheel has lost 80 percent of its traction. then the one-way clutch in the front disengages, enabling the transfer of locomotion to the front until the rear finds grip once more. the bike has a new set of wheels; – 19 inch in the front, and 17 inch in the rear both with continental ’tkc80’ wheel hub sets. rev’it designed a hand made aluminum gas and fabricated custom pair of exhausts. an apple iPhone is in the place of the regular instruments, which incorporates GPS and apps for the rider’s needs.  the rev’it ‘#95’ will embark on a full promotional tour around the united states in the coming months.
