what do you do when the brakes fail on your confederate hellcat? in revival cycles’ case, you jump on the opportunity to hand craft it into a statement motorcycle that outshines the original factory look. proclaimed by the famed custom bike shop as their most difficult design challenge to date, the revival 140 posed the dilemma of sculpting an new aesthetic that fitted around the original chassis and still paid homage to the confederate’s distinct visual design ethos. the finished creation weighs less that 500 pounds and packs a 132 BHP engine cased in 6061 aircraft grade billet aluminium. obviously, the revival 140 lives up to its name with 140 pounds of torque.

the curvaceous bike’s focual point is arguably the hand-formed alloy fuel tank that revival has sculpted right along the hellcat’s backbone, incorporating an upright seating position amid the design. the subframe has been fabricated using a CNC machine, similar to the original but far more organically shaped to hide the bike’s engine control unit.

inspired by the hellcat’s original seat, revival have stitched a bespoke leather version which blends neatly into the design. after the fuel tank and tail section had been put into place, revival placed asymmetrical panels on both sides of the frame, to cover the air intake on the right and the oil cooler on the left hand side of the bike. the lighting setup utilizes a xenon projector headlight taken from an audi S8, and revival has sculpted another chunk of alloy around the light to give the nose more visual interest. a new stainless steel exhaust and 2-in-1 silencer were hand built, and revival has incorporated a hand-shaped alloy bellypan to pay homage to earlier hellcats which all used this feature.
