the ‘beurban’ bike by ROD cycles is a two-wheeled urban cruiser produced by designer denis rodriguez. this is the very first example from the young, paraguay-based bicycle brand. perhaps the most striking feature about the ‘beurban’ is the aluminum backbone chassis: it forgoes the conventional frame, precariously placing the the seat over the rear wheel with soft and elegant lines. it bears a slight resemblance to the featherweight viks GT ‘lamborghini + bicycle mashup’.

ROD cycles aims at creating a new concept aesthetically, while refining style on two wheels. ‘beurban’ was born for commuting and can be produced with different equipment according to customer requirements. the first iteration features a gates ‘belt drive’; a front-wheel disc brake; racing handlebars; and a leather sports seat. while the sculptural form gives the impression that it should be preserved behind glass in a design gallery, this bike is made for fast and aggressive riding.
