shaka garage took a tumbledown 1985 BMW ‘K100’ and transformed it into a modern industrial style urban crawler with distinctive angular lines. the ‘silver gills’ project named after the vertical lines on it’s side, is covered in handcrafted aluminum panels and includes restrained contemporary finishes. keeping with the BMW’s original massive block engine, the italian team enhanced the lines to give it a more muscular design all around, adding proportions never considered in 1985. the front of the it houses a LED light with a yellow lens and an advanced dials to bring it up to speed with today’s bikes.

the back of the frame is completely custom made with a leather saddle, license plate and mounting brackets. the laser cut aluminum was introduced to drastically cut back on the top weight, so the low center of gravity is unchanged. the focal point of the ‘silver gills’ are its eight exhaust tips that closely resemble classic dragsters. to accommodate city riding, shaka garage maintain a correct compression in the engine so the exhausts sound subtle and not vulgar or annoying. all the craftsmanship dedicated to the shaka garage ‘silver gills’ is surely noticed, culminate to enjoyable riding experience.
