STRØM smartens up the fat bike with some scandanavian panache

coming from the world’s biking capital, the two danes behind STRØM have added a touch of their scandanavian cycling panache to give the fat bike a refined finesse for urban riding. the all-round electric bike is designed to fit the modern world’s requirements, packing a whole variety of features to make riding a bike just that little bit more convenient. you can go faster (up to 20 mph), further (up to 80 km) and even stay connected with the built-in USB charger. the bike uses a smart LCD display to monitor speed, level of assist, and battery, and also integrates a thumb controlled to make it easy to adjust the electric assistance level on the go.

a seven speed shimano gear system gives you the opportunity to ride with or without the assistance of a powerful silent motor, available in 250 W or 350 W versions. the battery is detachable for charging on the go. STRØM have added front and back LED lights, and topped off the model with a comfortable ultra-soft saddle designed to make any ride a pleasure. all these features combined are designed to make riding a bike more straightforward and manageable.

‘the design concept of STRØM was to create a more scandinavian look on the existing fat bikes on the market,’ explains morten birch, co-founder at STRØM. ‘we have spent countless hours researching people’s opinion on fat bikes in scandinavia and quickly found out that the 4-4.9 inch tires were too much. we have designed the tires of STRØM to be 3” inch wide to hit a broader audience. we also had in mind to make a bike without limitations. this means for our customers that they get a bike that can be used for both commuting and casual riding.’
