completely customizable, the ‘umidi’ DJ controller is a unique visual platform for mixing music. using the umidi website it is possible to personally design each device, offering DJ’s an unprecedented choice in both hardware and software. this unique customization tool includes different components, multiple color options, lighting shapes and even laser etching an image onto the face plate. the chosen design is then built and shipped anywhere in the world. at the core of the umidi product is 288 RGB LED’s that can be controlled in a number of different ways. this allows for music driven lighting, button effects, visualizing mixing, changing colors, all applied through the simple editor. the DJ controller consist of up to 36 components, including knobs, faders, encoders, jog wheels, aluminum push buttons, drum pads, silicon buttons. the enclosure is milled from a single piece of high grade aluminum and is only 2.5cms thick and weighs less than 3 pounds. umidi will be available on kickstarter in december of this year starting at an introductory price of $1050 including shipping and handling to anywhere in the world.
