in an obsessive display of simple and functional materials, swiss studio zimoun has explored the mechanical rhythm and flow in prepared systems through their latest generative headphone installation. the concept utilizes cotton balls, 2 prepared DC-motors and cardboard boxes to create systematic acoustic experience with simple architecture and commonplace industrial objects. without physical speakers installed, the complex kinetic headphone sculpture articulates tension between the chaotic forces of life through an effortless reverberation of sound repetition.
