 WATER CONCEPT - IL SALONE DELL' ARREDO BAGNO --- 'inside the bathroom' competition results --- title: NUANCE # : 454 sean scott from usa  designer's own words: The Nuance sink is derived from the very element it renders: water. Natural occurrences found in nature are reflected in every aspect of the sink. A freestanding cantilever design, directly inspired by water’s flawless energy, it is inviting from all sides. All fixtures are minimized to bring the sink’s form to the forefront. Once the Nuance sink is brought to life through use, the highest order of functionality is simultaneously unveiled. Water is delivered perpendicularly from the center of the sink’s organically designed basin. This gentle fountain celebrates water’s innate refreshing and playful qualities. Splashed water is easily returned to the sink’s drain through smoothly carved grooves that perfectly mimic rippled halos on a glassy pool. A secondary series of circular grooves holds soap aloft, allowing it to remain dry. The faucet follows the aesthetic form of a water droplet. The ergonomic fixture is easily manipulated allowing the user to access a comfortable temperature and volume from the spigot. A conveniently positioned towel rack is mounted directly onto the base where all plumbing and related hardware are encased.
