 WATER CONCEPT - IL SALONE DELL' ARREDO BAGNO --- 'inside the bathroom' competition results --- title: FAUCET # : 2800 uta gredner + jessica nebel + anke salomon from germany     designer's own words : The faucet is designed for hemiplegic people but also for the non-handicapped. The essential purpose is that one hand can be washed without the use of a second. The faucet is positioned inside the water basin. Attached to it is a brush and a liquid soap dispenser. Both can be rotated under the running water or to the side. The brush has three positions to click into place so the brush does not move during use, while the soap dispenser can move freely. Both have a stop to prevent contact with the basin. The main area of the brush has softer bristles, but it also has a smaller area with shorter and harder bristles for cleaning the fingernails. The soap dispenser has a dispense pin on the underside. When it is lifted, liquid soap flows into the hand. Like this, one does not have to touch the dispenser with a dirty hand. To refill the dispenser, just press on the flexible lid, popping the shape in the opposite direction, and the lid can be removed. The brush and the soap dispenser can be easily be replaced by pressing underneath creating a tactile and audible click. The overflow is located at the back of the faucet, so the user does not see a 'black hole' The plug lever is directly integrated into the washing table and is emphasized by a coloured flexible plastic cover.
