 WATER CONCEPT - IL SALONE DELL' ARREDO BAGNO --- 'inside the bathroom' competition results --- title: BE ECONSCIENT # : 466 ricardo figueiroa from portugal    designer's own words : Water is a fundamental resource that needs to be preserved. This faucet resolves the problem of the "eco-efficient" faucets that use a timing device, wich are mainly used in public spaces (we never know when it closes). Although the easiest way to use the faucet is the ecological + economical way, by simply rotating the upper element, the user can rotate a little more and control the intensity and the closing manually. The choice is in the hands of the consumer. He/she can choose between 'ecoscient' or not. Nevertheless the user can always use the faucet manually. The design intents go beyond the mere object, its objective is to indicate a behavior for a sustainable future.
