designer's own words:
Solace. Solitude. Reflection. In a world of chaos and unrelenting pressures,
the bathroom often transcends its physical functional purpose, to become a
sanctuary for rejuvenation. However, for a growing number of people the
bathroom and the bathtub, is often the first place of exclusion.
Flexiform attempts to encourage a sense of ageing gracefully, by creating
a more inclusive design, that does not draw attention to an individual
deficiencies. It steers away from stigmatisation by having non obtrusive features.
With a flexible upper membrane, it allows users to transfer on to the top
of the bath, before being lowered gently using water transferred beneath.
