painted road in berlin
painted road in berlin

last week a collection of cyclists dumped 13 gallons of paint on the road at berlin’s busy rosenthaler
platz, creating a series of colourful lines as cars drove through. the reason for the event is unknown and
locals are still speculating if it was vandalism or an art project. the various colours of paint were dumped
onto the road in large puddles at different locations throughout the intersection. as traffic drove through,
the paint was spread around creating lots of colourful lines. the motorists had no way of preventing their
car from being the paintbrush for this street art. the creators of the project posted signs on post nearby
explaining that the paint wasn’t harmful and would simply wash off with water.

Such a great idea... It's like the marble art I made in preschool but a hundred times bigger in scale.

ok, cool
but why put more toxic materials in the environment for the sake of art?

Wow, that looks like a lot more than 13 gallons of paint. They picked nice bright colors ... which makes me think they did it with good intentions.
