garden furniture

artist kevin hunt developed his series of garden furniture by covering pieces of furniture with living,
growing grass. the series began when hunt began exploring making sculptures with both permanent and
ephemeral materials. each piece covers a static piece of furniture with grass, allowing it to change over
time outside of the artist’s control. the grass is adhered to each piece of furniture using a dirt compound
that sticks to the material while provide a growing base for the greenery.  hunt has made chairs,
dressers and doors for the series of literal garden furniture.
