when they are not setting up surreal staircases in and outside buildings, lang baumann also experiment
with inflatable architectural interventions in their series comfort. this on-going body of work features
large scale inflatable objects that are placed in doorways, windows and other openings. in some pieces
the forms connect the inside to the outside, being pinched by the opening, while others feature entire
homes filled with long tubes of air that zig zag back and forth from inside to out.

somehow these inflations give a feeling of breathing to a building. at first i thought the tubes out of the building were its intestines being squeezed out, but then they became more poetic.
