zuma   07.15.10
For fuck's sake "what's the point?" Come off it, there's so much on this site that has way less of a point than these cutest knitted meat goods.
Dan   07.16.10
not everything has to have a point.. find your, for me the point is to create to innovate and to expres
avictoriam   07.16.10
well... interesting.... but!

knitted wool sheep meat

THAT'S THE POINT
diego   07.17.10
the unfindable point it's because this work is presented as singular "pieces". if it should b showed as installation, or maybe inside a refrigerator supermarket-style maybe some people will find the point...or maybe they still don't.
I can find the Staphanie's point, but not easily, I have to say..
misterfa   07.19.10
and the point is?
Quki i dajes   07.19.10
It could possibly represent the mass manufactured meat produce that as humans we modify and pack for super markets.

The knitted pieces are manifested as a product we take for granted like the ideal steak or chicken, when actually what is there is a product of engineered properties.
Joe.   07.19.10
i love it.
rachellena   07.20.10
Its ok. The Japanese paint their own food and hang it in front of shop windows making it life like. It draws in customers
sas   07.20.10
Installation is missing lol

Ok but seriously though.....what is the point ?
meetmyguff   07.20.10
@Joe

nice try but get real & a marketing job if thats not what you do already.
peeps   07.20.10
I do not understand the point of them alone, but they would be a nice commercial concept.
Zoe   07.20.10
how creative
puni   07.20.10
@peeps

The composition is by an advertising & design student which could point towards the angle the concept is aimed at, as you stated for marketing purposes. I think the only issue here is the lack of information provided by the creator for their theory. I agree it's not self explanatory.
Joe.   07.20.10
these are awesome.
Nikola   07.20.10
I think they're brilliant!! Sometimes you do things for fun (what a concept!!!!) or for creativities sake!! Great work!!!!
Shama   07.21.10
wow "what's the point?" became a meme so fast!
Isabel   07.21.10
Seriously?! Do any "what'sthepointers" have even the slightest inkling of the raison d'etre of all contemporary art?
Do you ask "what's the point?" when you're at the MOMA?!
Philosophically, and intellectually, it's like asking someone to come change your diaper -stop being so thick and open yourself up to the possibility of non-linear connections between things...we live in a complex world ripe for abstract, if not ironic, commentary...for crying out loud!
