hideki kuwajima is a japanese artist based in osaka who creates complex assemblage sculpture from found objects.
some of kuwajima’s pieces included sculptures made from children’s toys and even fine crystal stemware.
in addition to gallery shows, kuwajima has also created installations for hermes. radi-um von roentgenwerke
art gallery in tokyo represents kuwajima’s work.

Well... yes it's easy to criticize... and I appreciate the aesthetic appearance of the sculptures...
But, to me, the reference to the objects as "found" has a certain connotation of being reused or recycled...
How does one just "find" two of every plastic toy? or am i just reading into it too much?
Stemware makes sense... but the reference to plastic really bothers me.
