chinese conceptual artist ai weiwei, working in collaboration with munich-based
clothing label des artistes has created a limited series of t-shirts for a charity project.
consisting of three separate designs on simple white tees, all the proceeds is going to
doctors without borders/médecins sans frontières (MSF).

'brain inflation' features a black and white CT scan of ai weiwei's hemorrhaging brain
after he was beaten by chinese police force for trying to testify at the trial of a fellow
activist for investigating the deaths of school children in the 2008 sichuan earthquake.

'hanging man' consists of a wire clothes hanger which has been twisted to look
like the profile of french surrealist artist, marcel duchamp.

the last in the series entitled 'peanuts' shows an image of hand-painted porcelain replicas of the nut.
