vitra has been producing miniature replicas of famous designer chairs for a number of years. this chandelier by artist
paola pivi is made entirely from these small chairs with an aluminum structure to hold them together. each one is
composed in a ball formation that measures approximately 28 inches in diameter and is made from a unique selection
of the miniature chairs.

Wow - I like this. As someone interested in furniture I've always worried that friends or family will buy me one of these Vitra miniatures as a gift, which I would then place on a shelf and it would collect dust thereafter. Instead I can start collecting to build a chandelier!

this is horrible and gives design a bad name. It takes no consideration for how a light functions and it's form is has no redeeming qualities either. All those beautiful chairs look like junk hung from a rope.
